I am a writer and Lecturer in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, and co-editor of the publications, Transmission: Speaking and Listening Volumes 3- 5. Operating under the working title, Not Yet There, my current work and research attempts to explore the ideas of irresolution, uncertainty, disorientation and the process of ‘getting lost’ as strategic conditions of artistic practice. Current strands within this project include writing in relation to artists’ practice which demonstrates the desire to be led astray especially through the gesture of following another; or which adopt an endless or irresolvable search or quest as a central strategy. I am interested in exploring certain recurrent ideas within my practice and writing: irresolution and anti-climax; aimless wandering and rules of the game; seriality and repetition; narrative and telling stories; camouflage and disappearance; boredom and absurdity.
