Bloc will support proposals from individual artists, collaborations and artists’ groups for solo shows or group exhibitions. Artists from all media will be considered including: painting, print, sculpture, installation, video, sound, digital media, text, photography, performance.
Applications should include a proposal, CV, artist statement and supporting material. Documentation needs to be in the following formats: 35mm slides, photographs, A4 printouts, CD-Rom, DVD, audio CDs. We only accept proposals by post. Please include an SAE if you would like your work returned. Please do not send original artworks or submissions by registered post/special delivery. Finally do not send packages larger than A4, as we only have a small postbox!

The double door, window and six double power sockets are indicated in red, there are two lighting tracks that run along the non-gable ends on both sides of the roof (i.e. above the level of the power sockets). Individual spotlights have two levels of articulation and can be positioned anywhere along the length of either lighting track.
There is also a girder (not shown) that dissects the room directly between the two middle power sockets. The girder is approximately four inches wide and is approximately three meters from the floor.
The walls are plaster over brick and are painted white. The space is approximately five meters high at the apex and three meters high at the level of the eaves. There is a row of windows in the side of the roof directly opposing the entrance to the gallery, this can be blacked out as necessary.
The floor is painted grey and is not suitable for drilling. Alternative fixing mechanisms should be identified before submitting proposals as work that requires fixing directly to the floor cannot be considered.
