The artist Jo Hodgson worked at the Odeon cinema for seven years. Trailer is inspired by countless hours, sitting outside the auditorium, listening to the same film trailers several times a day. The disjointed narrative of the voiceover is transcribed and presented as uninterrupted text. The cinema is somewhere to escape to after a week of work, but when it becomes the place of employment, recurring promises of excitement and adventure become nonsensical and absurd.
