Peace near the Black Sea

Peace near the Black Sea is part of a photography project by Istanbul based artist Ipek Yeginsu. Yeginsu describes the Black Sea as an area where one may find refuge from daily turmoil. Through silence and peacefulness she pays tribute to the lost fishermen, to the lonely hearts missing their beloved ones, and to the Black Sea’s grandiose past full of heroic myths.
Yeginsu graduated with an MA at Koç University, Istanbul and has won awards for painting, poetry and story telling in Turkey.
